BETHESDA ROBBERY IS 3RD ON RESIDENTIAL STREET IN A WEEK - MORE THEFTS ALONG RIVER ROAD CORRIDOR

A robbery in the 7800 block of Custer Road Friday was the third mugging reported on a Bethesda residential street in the last week.

The previous two were on Madaket Road and Cammack Drive.  Several other robberies were reported in Bethesda last month.  Custer is off Wilson Lane, just outside of downtown Bethesda.

A theft spree continues in the River Road corridor as well, between Goldsboro Road and the Beltway.  Bannockburn is the community being hit the hardest this time.  Three more thefts have been reported:

Monday, October 8:
Theft from vehicle.  6500 block of Dalroy Lane/Bannockburn Dr.

Wednesday, October 10:
Theft from vehicle.  6500 block of Kenhowe Drive.

Friday, October 12:
Theft from vehicle.  6200 block of E. Halbert Road.
