SKYLANDERS GIANTS TOUR STOPS AT BETHESDA'S WESTFIELD MONTGOMERY MALL (PHOTOS)

VIDEO GAME

Another Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row Exclusive

The Skylanders Giants mall tour made a stop at Bethesda's Westfield Montgomery Mall recently.  A video game and toy line, Skylanders can best be described as a cross between Pokemon and Captain Power from the 1980s.  Like Pokemon - to many parents' chagrin, I'm sure - collecting all of the characters is the goal.  And like Captain Power, your toy purchase interacts with the game, by placing your character figure onto a platform that puts it into the video game.

Once again, the great American indoor mall is not dead yet.  When's the last time you found a video game set up outdoors in a mixed-use town center?
