The new on-site sales center for The Lauren luxury condominiums, at Hampden Lane and Woodmont Avenue, appears close to opening.
Wall lettering announces the building's name prominently inside, and reveals a distinctive new logo. Glossy copies of Bethesda Magazine rest on a tabletop. And blueprints and a flatscreen TV stand by to offer previews of these exclusive apartment homes.
Condos at The Lauren are priced "from the several millions," and are considered the most ultraluxurious of those planned for post-recession downtown Bethesda.

My 8 y.o. son & I were talking about the "several millions" bit today and he thought perhaps part of the deal included them "giving the buyer a bar of gold." He couldn't for the life of him figure out why they would cost so much, LOL:-)
