PHOTOS FROM THE BETHESDA METRO STATION CLOSURE THIS PAST WEEKEND #WMATA

The Bethesda Metro station was closed for escalator replacement this past weekend, causing many delays for travelers who had to use shuttle buses to get around the dead spot on the Red Line.

Here are some scenes from the closure and work site:

In my experience this weekend, not only we were delayed by the shuttle, but also by the fact that metro didn't run the extra train between Shady Grove and Dupont Circle as promised...
My wait at Dupont Circle was over 20 minutes, when it was advertised to be 10-12 min...
BTW, this is the second weekend in a row that Metro does not run these extra trains...
