Montreal-based David's Tea will open a shop at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. Nationally, David's Tea is a Canadian competitor of Teavana; inside the mall, it will compete with Rumi Tea & Spice, Peet's Coffee and Tea, Starbucks and Aroma Espresso Bar, to name a few.

According to Fortune magazine, David's Tea has previously announced it would open up to 15 stores this year in the U.S., and has sold over 400 different tea varieties since it was founded in 2008. Beverages prepared fresh in their stores account for only 10% of the company's total sales, Fortune reported.

David's Tea sells loose leaf teas, gifts and accessories. Teas include Banana Nut Bread, Beartrap, Cardamom French Toast, Chocolate Chili Chai, Peanut Butter Cup, and even a line of cold-fighting teas for those under the weather.

@1:58 PM My wife loves their tea and usually gets it when we are in Philly or NYC. You both should give it a try.
