MoCo Planning Board to discuss potential land acquisition for parks in downtown Bethesda in closed session

The Montgomery County Planning Board will adjourn into closed session for part of its December 10 meeting. They'll be discussing potential land acquisitions for parks in downtown Bethesda. This is related to the Bethesda Downtown sector plan process, which is nearing its end.

Leaders in Rockville are having similar discussions about whether to acquire land along Rockville Pike, to ensure there will be adequate park space in the implementation of the future Rockville PIke plan.

The general consensus among residents who testified on the draft Bethesda Downtown Plan was that more parks and public spaces were needed in the document's recommendations.
